The 2026 VCO Viper "Plus" Show & Lunch Meeting Report

Hello Everone,

We just held another enjoyable Annual VCO Viper Show & Lunch Meeting, and we thank all who attended. It was nice to welcome our new members who had joined since this event last year. We had a good turn-out of Vipers and member's other interesting rides!

Our Board had the pleasure of welcoming our new president, Jamie Herrington, who has served as a vice-president for the last 15 months! Jamie has the energy, enthusiasm, progressive ideas and Board support to lead our club and ensure its continued success!

President's Message

Honoured members,

Thank you for another exciting kickoff to a magnificent, event filled summer. It was wonderful to share some time with members I have not seen in a while, as well as members I have not had the opportunity to meet in person prior to our event. Our club is blessed to have so many members who enjoy simple conversation, whether the traditional bench-racing style of conversation, or just “picking up where we left off”, style of chat.

The weather co-operated and it turned into a marvellous day.

The clarity, of the direction our club is heading, is a testament to our Board of Directors, and the leadership throughout the past twenty-nine years. It is glorious to see our two prior presidents, Nabil and John, present and still enthusiastic about our future, and for that, I say a very sincere thank you to both of you. Bruce’s leadership is not waning, it is just on a different trajectory, again, to benefit our great club. One thing is absolute. Any decisions, going forward will continue to be based solely on the benefit to our club and amazing members. This event was a milestone for our great club. We will endeavour to keep moving ahead fervently.

I would like to extend a very sincere thank you to my mentor, Bruce. Words cannot express how much you mean to each and every one of us. Your efforts to move our club forward, fill us with the desire to strive to be the best Viper Club on our planet.

Let’s make 2026 memorable and hopefully I will be seeing many of you in the weeks to come at some of our top-notch events.

Thank you all.

Cheers,

Jamie Herrington

2025 Treasurer's Report

Nick Sawrantschuk presented the 2025 Treasurer's Report. The club's finances are very strong. Revenues from member dues and sponsors are unchanged from 2024. Total 2024 expenses were higher due to gifting of apparel and the Conner Center weekend event costs, and less in 2025 due the Windsor plant tour being postponed until 2026. We're averaging more spending on member benefits than dues collected thanks to our sponsor donations and careful management. Our bank reserves exceed our bylaw requirement to maintain at least 1.5 times our previous year's membership dues as a financial cushion. The Treasurer's Report is available upon request. As per our bylaws, a vote was taken and unanimously passed to not require an audit of our financial stmts.

2025 Membership Report We had 223 members in 2025 and have 200 so far in 2026 with several months left to go! Bruce discussed how the popularity of social media, poor economy, political concerns, and increasing Viper values are believed to be impacting club memberships generally.
