November '22

Updated: Feb 19, 2023

VCO Members,

We hope you’ve all had a chance to get out and enjoy the stunning fall colours and unusually mild temps in your Vipers before the sad job of putting them away for another winter! We celebrated our extended driving season with Vipers and club friends last Sunday at the final 2022 Hagerty Garage + Social Cars & Coffee, followed by brunch in Burlington. And it looks like the fine weather may even hold for Eastern Ontario’s End of Season event on Sunday Nov 13th!

Gallery of Event Photos

We’d like to provide a recap of each event but the limitations of time and space make that too challenging when we hold so many events! The absolute best way is to attend them, and the second is to view photos of them on our Gallery page! Most photos have now been posted for your viewing pleasure…enjoy! https://www.viperclubofontario.com/gallery

Welcome New & Returning Members

We look forward to meeting you all, and enjoying fun times together with Vipers and friends!

End of Season Events

Our London-Windsor members held their end of season cruise event in the Chatham area, a lunch in Burlington and dinner in Newmarket for our Central Ontario members, and on November 13th we’re holding one for our Eastern members! https://www.viperclubofontario.com/events

We did manage to sneak in an extra Hagerty event as mentioned above, and we're hoping to plan a brunch in December too! In fact, if anyone has a great suggestion, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your area’s director or myself.

Congratulations to our winners!

We’d also like to give honourable mention to runners-up Mardig Sevadjian and Kim Blake, and recognize our directors who organize and attend a great many events.

Winter Storage Tips

Preparing your Viper for winter storage is actually quite straightforward. Follow these tips and you should be good to go and ready to fire it up again next spring!

  • Store with a full tank of fuel to avoid condensation accumulating in the tank

  • Avoid use of Fuel Stabilizer products

  • Add a few pounds of tire pressure

  • Place mats under tires to avoid contact with concrete floor

  • Storing with the car’s weight off the tires will avoid tire flat spotting

  • Mouse traps and electronic devices can avoid costly repairs to chewed electrical wiring. Amazon sells a huge selection!

  • Always connect a battery tender to avoid all kinds of issues

  • Review “Timely Tip - Winter care for your battery” in last November’s newsletter

VCO’s Vision

We held leadership roles within the Viper Owners Association until November 2022 and have developed relationships with other regional Viper clubs to pursue our shared goals..

We thank our club members, directors and sponsors for each of their important roles in helping ensure the continued enjoyment of our precious Vipers for many years to come!

2023 VCO Event Calendar

Our 2023 VCO social events are actually going to start towards the end of January! The 2023 Events Calendar will start taking shape before that, and we hope to have most event dates finalized and posted on our Events Calendar page by mid-March.
