New Club Director Announcements
Our club has been led by a dedicated team of volunteers for over 25 years. It's through their efforts, and those of our enthusiastic event planners, members and sponsors, that we enjoy unsurpassed club benefits and 50 annual club events.
Our Board welcomes and thanks Marko Makela for taking on the role as club director. Many of you know Marko, Nina & daughter Yasmine, Toronto residents, and active members and event participants for over 8 years. Marko will be involved in the leadership of our club, and GTA area events and membership. Thank you Marko!
We also welcome and thank Dave Pelosini for taking on the role of club director. Dave & Shari live in Dundas, Ontario. Dave has been an active member for almost 8 years, and is taking on responsibility for our growing membership and events in the Hamilton-Dundas- Brantford area. Thank you Dave!

2024 Event Planning
Our best events often come from suggestions made by our members. Each of us have a wealth of experiences in our local areas and beyond, and know some that others would enjoy as well. This is a great way to contribute to the fun, and to help keep events fresh!
We're currently collecting suggestions for 2024, and the Board will be reviewing them on Nov 7th. Our goal is to have much of our 2024 Events Calendar laid out by the end of the year. Please contact Bruce or an Area Director to discuss your event ideas. Thank you!
Targa Newfoundland Awards
Targa is the only tarmac rally of its kind held in North America. It covers 2000 kms of paved roads (closed to public) and different types of challenges over several days that test drivers, navigators, vehicles and their crews that keep them running and competitive.
Our club's Technical Director, Garrett Nalepka, was crew chief once again for BMW Canada, and along with his Centennial College students, was responsible for the BMW entries, including the BMW Mini driven by professional racer Randy Pobst, winner of many championships. Garrett's service team also ended up assisting other teams.
Randy, his co-driver and navigator won 1st place in their class, and Garrett and his crew were awarded the "Spirit of Targa" for their outstanding service work! Congratulations to Garrett and his team! We're very proud and fortunate to have Garrett on Team VCO!
